This fantastic Rolls-Royce Phantom I has a very fascinating history. The car was delivered new to the Duque of Spain in Arion in 1926. He was one of the richest people in Spain, and ordered his car with the desirable body from Hooper Open Tourer. After a couple of years, he sold the car to the President of Spain, Don Alejandro Lerroux. When the civil war broke out in Spain, Don Alejandro moved to Portugal, and General Franco took the Rolls-Royce away from him and gave it to one of his best friends, to industrialist in San Sebastian. The car resided in this family until a couple of years ago. When we purchased the car, it was the first time that it left Spain since 1926 ... This example has closed with Chassisnr 60LC its original Hooper Open Tourer body, Which is very rare indeed. It is in fantastic condition, runs very well and looks quite impressive. The original color was gray with black, but now its beautiful color combination of cream with red hide interior and stunning Nutmegmakes it an absolute eye catcher. We have the build specification from new, and everything on this phantom is still very correct. The engine runs smooth, and gearbox and brakes all work well. Due to the mild climate spanish, the chassis and body are absolutly rust free. A Rolls-Royce Phantom I Hooper Open Tourer with an original body is rare, but this example in such a pristine condition and with this important history is a once in a lifetime find. It will fit in every important motorcar collection around the world, and we are quite sure that finding a better one is almost impossible. P> |
