The Kyalami has been at the Geneva Motor Show 1976 presented to the public. He was named after the famous race track in South Africa. The bodies were mostly built at Embo in Turin and in the beginning of this car was equipped with the world famous 4.2-liter V8 DOHC engine, already celebrated in racing success. The engine was Equipped with four Weber downdraft carburetors double, had a dry sump lubrication and made according to factory specification 265 bhp. In 1978, a single convertible version of the Kyalami Frua was made.
This Maserati Kyalami Maserati convertible was a recognized specialist in Berlin on the inspiration of the design as Frua converted convertible.
