This is a very beautiful Mistral 4.0 L
At the Turin Motor Show in November 1963 presented the Maserati Mistral, a dreitriges fastback coupe, the successor to the 3500 GT / GTI, the technology took over the Mistral. However, the wheelbase of the Mistral was held 2600, like its predecessor, only 2400 mm, so he offered just two people. Also starting in 1965, the Mistral came as a convertible in the program.
The design of the coupe and the convertible came respectively from Frua, series production was however given to other works. The car bodies were produced at Maggiora, but the car itself was ultimately completed by Officine Padane in Modena.
The amount initially available injected 3, 5-liter inline six-cylinder 1965 came with much larger engines choices to 3, 7 and 4, 0 liters. The Maserati Mistral was the last with the classic, developed by Giulio Alfieri inline six of the Hauses, all later models had six-or eight-cylinder V-engine.
The Mistral to 1970 were a total of 948 pieces, including 120 cabriolets.
