This is an extremely rare Bentley S1 Continental, built by James Young of Bromley. In the past, very rich customers could specify their own Bentley prefered body style, based on a Continental chassis. R-Type Continentals were always two-door cars, while S-Type Continentals like this car were available as 4-door versions as well. These variants were called \The three most important were approved coach builders Mulliner, Park Ward and James Young. The car we offer for sale is a very rare James Young four-Light Flying Spur. Only nine similar cars are made, and this is one of the prettiest coachbuilt designs ever produced on a Continental chassis. The body is handcrafted and made of aluminum, Which reduced curb weight and made the cars more sporty then their standard cousins. These cars are so much lower, and often have a more powerful engine Compared to the factory S1. This Flying Spur is completely restored between 2005 and 2007. This is all documented in a huge file with lots of pictures and eyewatering invoices. In the same file we have 150 pages of impressive amount of correspondence between James Young, Jack Barclay and the first owner during the build process of the car.
