1966 presented the first Alfa Romeo Spider at the Geneva Motor Show, the 1600 Spider. The bottom group came from the Giulia 105 and the design of Pininfarina, the last model of van Battista Pininfarina himself got the two-seater a 1600 cc 4 cylinder engine with 109 horsepower. The engine was also known for it's maneuverability, so that it from all five transitions accelerated out very well. The round tail or 'Coda Longa \1971 2000 Spider Veloce was presented with a 131 hp engine. The 2000 replaced the 1750 and a year later, replacing the 1600 Junior the 1300 Spider.
The fourth and final version of the classic Spider was launched in early 1990. The engine was a 2.0 with 120 hp, controlled three-way catalytic converter and Bosch Motronic fuel injection system.
